- Do I need to provide any cleaning supplies or equipment?
For your convenience there are two programs you may choose from. The first one does not include any supplies or equipment for cases that you have all the necessary supplies at home and you want to lower your cost. In the second program we will supply all necessary supplies and equipment.
- How do I pay for the cleaning service?
Payment is accepted on the day of each visit. All of our first time cleanings must be paid in cash. Thereafter, we can accept cash, checks or credit cards. When paying by check or cash, most clients find it convenient to leave payment on the kitchen table. Checks are made payable to “MDV Residential Cleaning”.
- How do I pay you for the cleaning job if I am not home?
MDV Residential Cleaning Service will estimate the number of labor hours required based on the size of your home and the tasks you have requested. Based on this estimate, you can leave us a check at a designated area in your home.
- Are you bonded and insured to perform house cleaning services?
Our maids, housekeepers, contractors, and all the staff of MDV Residential Cleaning are full bonded and insured with the best insurance policy available. We are not just bonded, but have liability, crime and employee accident coverage. Your home, our maids, housekeepers and contractors are included in the coverage.
- Do I need to be home? If I give you a key, how will it be protected?
90% of our customers are not home when we clean their homes. We keep detailed information about each client’s home regarding pets, access, and alarm codes as well as any special instructions. If you prefer to be home, we will schedule a time that is mutually convenient.
If you like you can give us a key, hide a key, give us a code to the garage door if you have a keypad outside or, make sure that someone is home when we arrive. If you decide give us the key your key is placed on a code numbered key tag that is kept in a secure lock–box in our alarmed office. Names and Address are never attached to the key. The key to your home is issued to the supervisor of your cleaning team on the morning of your cleaning. It is then returned to the general manager that same afternoon and secured back in the lock–box.
- Do I have to sign any contract for your cleaning service?
- Can I hire your maid or housekeeper directly?
No our Service Agreement states that you agree not to hire any past or present MDV Cleaning Services maid or housekeeper, other than through our office for a period of not less than 18 months from the date that maid or housekeeper last worked for MDV Cleaning Services, for any purpose whatsoever. In the event that you feel that you must hire this person in spite of this agreement, our referral fee to you is $3000 and is due in full immediately upon employment or use of the employee/past employee, regardless or rather the employment is regular employment or on a contract basis.
- What if I am unhappy with the service you provide?
If you are unhappy then so are we. Please contact us as soon as possible so that we can rectify the situation. If you are unhappy with your particular cleaner we can speak to them for you or find you a replacement cleaner. All our cleans are guaranteed. We can do this because we make quality a priority. With every clean you have an opportunity to complete a feed back commentary sheet to help us improve the level of service we provide you. If you are not satisfied with the work, call us within 24 hours and we will come out and re-clean the area at no additional charge.
